The Cardano and DripDropz community members are the real champions in this decentralized, permissionless space that we all live and work in. We rely on your interest and support to direct us as we work to build the tools that make a difference for our community and the wider world.
The DripDropz team is returning in Project Catalyst Fund 10 to continue building tools that will support our growing community and drive wider adoption for the Cardano ecosystem. To understand what we’re building, and why, let’s walk through some history, our earlier proposals, and then what’s coming up next, and how you can help.
History
Project Catalyst was created as an innovation fund for the Cardano Ecosystem. In July of 2020, fund 1 was launched with a 2.34 million ADA budget, and 8 proposals were approved to receive that funding. Since that time over 1268 proposals have been approved and $64 million USD worth of ADA has been set aside for projects, including Fund 10’s new 50 Million ADA allocation. As of the time of this writing, the fund has a project completion rate greater than 50%
Fund 9
We are proud to be active contributors to the Project Catalyst ecosystem. Our team has supported the election of Catalyst Circle v4 with our voting tool. That tool is now open source and a subject of a fund 9 proposal. In addition to this work, we regularly contribute After Town Hall sessions covering topics of governance and entrepreneurship. You can see those videos and others on our YouTube channel.
In Fund 9 we were also honored to receive funding to move our Mainstreet product forward. If you would like to see how we’re doing on both of these proposals, please check out Andrew Westberg’s latest NerdOut video where he breaks down where we stand on those deliveries.
Bottom line, we’re crossing the finish line on both of these proposals, and we’re ready to take on the next challenges.
Fund 10
So what’s new for Fund 10 with the DripDropz team? We have a set of proposals that we feel will offer great value. We’re going to give more open source tooling to the community:
two big improvements to the voting tool
an accounting tool for fiat use that is blockchain aware
easy to use way to make permanent governance document links available
We have some plans for Mainstreet that we’re asking for your help on, and we’re going to encourage you to have a little fun. How are we going to accomplish all of that? Keep reading to find out about each of our proposals.
Open Source Voting - Petitions
This proposal seeks funding to add a petitioning system to the front end of the Open Source Voting product.
The petitioning system allows registered voters to create a petition. Petitions can do things like apply as a new candidate for office, suggest a topic to vote on, etc.
A user can make a petition, then the system will require a configurable threshold of other people signing to accept the petition. (i.e. 5000 signatures of ADA Holders >500 ADA at a set snapshot to become a Catalyst Circle Representative Candidate)

Open Source Voting - Gated Polling
Another proposal for the voting platform is Gated Polling. This proposal gets right to the heart of a major issue for the upcoming Voltaire era. dReps will need tooling to poll their delegators and verify that the people they are polling are the people they are representing. Other projects could use this functionality with NFT ownership, or other configurable parameters.
This tooling represents the most cost effective way to get back poll results for informal polls and research, while still maintaining control over who is allowed to respond to the poll.

Arweave Gateway
While we’re on the topic of Voltaire governance, there is another issue that we uncovered during our many CIP-1694 workshops that we believe we can address very well for the community. A governance action in CIP-1694 requires an on-chain representation of a document. We feel one of the best ways to accomplish a permanent, immutable means to fulfill this obligation is by utilizing Arweave and building a gateway tool that will accept ADA or FIAT currencies and complete the action necessary to put those governance actions live on the Arweave protocol. Our tool will accomplish this for our team. We will build a SaaS product and host it and we’ll make it open source for others who want to do that work in their own governance products.

Fiat & Token Accounting System Solution
As we keep moving forward, now that we have some cool functionality that begins to involve fiat and cryptocurrencies, we have another area of opportunity that we can give back to the community. Unfortunately, it’s a little boring, and not as flashy as some of our other proposals. We still think it’s super important, so take a look:
When you’re accepting fiat currencies, or another cryptocurrency to perform an action on a blockchain, you need to make sure that your accounting works. So we made a fun acronym for a very serious project.
F.&T.A.S.S. will provide an open source framework that developers can integrate into any tool that takes a currency, and then performs actions on a specific blockchain, and provide a final tally of C.O.G.S. (Cost of Goods Sold… Accountants may have more acronyms than blockchain people, but probably not more than .mil folks) and proof of service delivery back to your accountant. You’ve got an accountant… right?
So don’t let your books get FUBAR. Give F.&T.A.S.S. a thumbs up when voting opens on August 31.

Mainstreet Suite Licensing
The Mainstreet Suite is our peer-to-peer mobile ecommerce platform.
As we mentioned above, Mainstreet has been moving through the business development and prototype development phases. We’ve done tons of product and user research, and we are delivering on our Fund 9 promises.
In Fund 10 we’re asking the community to support the acquisition of U.S. Money Transmitter Licenses, and assist us in paying for the first year of all of those associated costs. We broke it down in the proposal for everyone to see just how expensive it is to accomplish all of these tasks.
As you all know the bear market is brutal, and many of the recent hit or miss court cases and failed legislative efforts have affected the landscape for investment dollars. We are hoping that with the support of the community we can move to apply for these licenses, making the product even more appealing to investors, so that we can complete the MVP and begin our marketing efforts for this game changer product.

Meme Marketing
Lastly, we told you we would have some fun! Our Meme-meister, the King of Cardanomedy, the Punch-uppiest Meme lord you all know and love as Anthony Cardano has been gracing our Twitter feed with some of the spiciest and most memorable memes.
We don’t want to take away his fun. So support his proposal in the Catalyst Open category to make sure that you keep receiving the freshest memes every day! For your support, you’re also going to get some statistics on just how great those memes are performing on Twitter.
Conclusion
DripDropz has 6 Active proposals on Project Catalyst that need your support when voting opens on August 31st. Please check out our proposals, and give them your support so that we can continue to build the solutions that drive Cardano adoption.
